Mod2, Inc. is a software company based in Los Angeles, CA. We specialize in providing software solutions to businesses in the textile, garment, home furnishing importers, converters, and wholesalers. Our software, Mod2, is a highly specialized and customized application that caters to specific needs of clients in the said industries, packed in a single software application. Through the years, we've been customizing the application and expanding it to various platforms like the web and mobile devices. This continuing expansion and the varying degrees of demands and feature requests from our clients, require that we employ software developers who do not only have the educational background but also are equipped with the skills and mindset of an experienced software developer and analyst alike.

We are looking for a Software Developer (Applications) who will collaborate with our business managers and work with other software developers in translating business and integration requirements into a user-friendly and simple, yet powerful, application across different platforms (desktop, web, and mobile). This position will architect, design, code, and unit test features into our custom application. The ideal candidate will reflect a mix of strong technical proficiency, application maintenance ownership, and have the ability to work effectively with our internal business and technology personnel.


  • Design and develop optimization, features, and enhancements to Mod2 Inc.,'s automation product on both the Windows and Apple iOS platforms
  • Support the application from development to the test cycle and through release/deployment
  • Ensure quality of the application through writing test cases and applying them during the test cycle of the software development
  • Author knowledge base or tutorials through models, diagrams, standards document, e.g., flowcharts, that help transfer the knowledge to other developers in writing codes
  • Work with the product team in understanding the business needs and propose solutions to the problems
  • Manage projects of offshore developers and monitor the entirety of the project to ensure deadlines and standards are met
  • Provide second-level support to Mod2's customer representatives team, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and fixing issues as they arise or as they are reported by clients
  • Work with shipping suppliers like UPS and FedEx in integrating their solutions to the Mod2 application
  • Provide QA and code review of work done by co-developers in the team
  • Author technical and design documents


  • Development using Borland Delphi 2006 or later, with third-party components and API integration
  • Knowledge of relational database and SQL programming using MySQL
  • Source code control and project management using Git & JIRA
  • Web development using HTML and CSS
  • Knowledge of EDI, XML, and web services
  • VBA programming and integration with MS Excel
  • Experience with all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Familiar with basic networking concepts
  • Analytical and experienced in troubleshooting and investigating issues
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player and positive teamwork mentality


  • Ability to multi-task between several projects and prioritize them
  • Highly adaptable to changing requirements and customized requests
  • Experience in Mobile development in the iOS platform
  • Knowledge in object-oriented software design and programming
  • Knowledge of the textile and garment production industry is a plus


  • 5+ years' experience working as a software developer
  • Graduate degree
  • Education Background must be in Computer Science, Information Technology or other computer - or information science-related fields AND business management/administration
  • At least one year of training with the above listed softwares
  • If you do not have a graduate degree, we will consider applicants who have at least 48 months of relevant work experience (computer science and business management and administration) to substitute for the lack of a graduate degree.
